Why is/was everyone outraged with Barry Bonds over the whole steroids scandal, yet noone has even mentioned or started one thread about Roger Clemens on here? The media hasnt talked about it nearly as much either. Whats up here fellas, a double standard or what, you tell me, discuss.
Double standard? Absolutely. But, Bonds is a pompous jerk and he brought a lot of this negative publicity on himself.
Thats the biggest reason
Plus the guy who is ratting out Clemens so to speak is a guy who is basically classified as a nutcase [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
Clemens can certainly give Bonds a run for his money when it comes to being a pompous jerk.

I think visual evidence is another factor. You can look at Bonds and see clear evidence of change due to steroid use, not just in muscle mass but also in some facial feature change. It's a no brainer that he has juiced. I don't think the same is true of Clemens

Visual evidence? Are you serious about this? Well lets lock him up and throw away the key because we have "visual" evidence that Bonds juiced. Wow! I've heard it all now.
Look at a photo of Bonds when he was with the Pirates. Then look at a photo of him today.
Big difference. People don't get bigger once they hit 40.

Its cause Bonds is black. You see this everyday.
Wrong. I'm no Clemens fan especially after the "retirement" from the Yankees to go play for Houston. There has been much more circumstantial evidence against Barry Bonds over the last couple years than what has recently come out about Clemens and others. I don't care if they are black or white if they did steroids they have no place in the game.

You do realize that there wouldnt be anyone playing today if that were the case. Not only that but the Yanks would be behind the D-Rays in the standings [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
